There Were 26,000,008 Winners At the National Kidney Foundation's 2008 Golf Classic Championship

More than 10,000 golfers competed in more than 60 local tournaments around the country
throughout 2007. The top two teams from each event were invited to the championship
round, playing each of the four historic Pebble Beach, CA, courses in January, and eight
players emerged victorious.

But the real winners were the 26,000,000 Americas who have Chronic Kidney
Disease (CKD) who will directly benefit from the $5 million raised last year at NKF
Golf Tournaments nationwide. The funds will support NKF's fast-growing free early
detection screenings for people at risk of kidney disease - those with high blood
pressure, diabetes and a family history of the disease - as well as patient and family
services, advocacy programs and kidney research.

Local 2008 NKF Golf Classics are now scheduled. Round up your teammates and
enter today at www.kidney.org/golf. You could be on your way to the 2009
Championship at Pebble Beach. As one contestant said, “We had a fabulous time.
I don't think any of us wanted to leave. It was a terrific golf experience!”
